Plus both are Open Source projects that have constant development and support. As for Clonemaxx, it's proprietary freeware but doesn't appear to support external drives and has very spotty support for SATA. Pair it up w/ gnome's partition editor Gparted on a live CD and you have everything you need to copy a drive to a larger drive and resize it use the larger disk. clonezilla is my goto tool for copying drives.
