Firefox OS App Day announced for developers

by Rob Zwetsloot

Mozilla are holding a Firefox OS App Day on January 26th to get devs a kickstart on hacking and learning the mobile OS

Firefox OS is being ramped up by Mozilla, and to get the mobile OS into the hands of developers they’ve organized a hack day. The Firefox OS App Day will be held at the Mozilla Hack Space in London on Saturday 26th January, and all developers are welcome to come and get hands on with coding for the platform, and talk to the OS dev team about as well.

“This App Day is not a competition;” states the blurb on the event site. “It’s an opportunity to start creating mobile apps for Firefox Marketplace and the coming Firefox OS phone. It’s also a great opportunity to demo your project for an audience of peers, as well tech leaders and innovators.”

The event is for developers only, and only requires that you bring your development machine along.

i think Mozilla should simply build it officially and eliminate from their desktop groups.
